ACURA ham radio callsign lookup featuring amateur radio equipment, a callsign search display, radio antennas, and the Atlantic City skyline.

Callsign Lookup

Heard a new station on the repeater or worked someone on HF? Use this free callsign lookup to see who holds the license. Simply type a callsign and press Look Up. The results show the operator’s name, license class, city and state, grid square and when the license expires.

Covers U.S. (FCC) and Canadian callsigns. Press Enter or tap Look Up.
Data courtesy of HamDB.org, which draws on FCC and ISED license records. For privacy, this page shows city and state only — never street addresses.

What the Callsign Lookup Shows

Each result starts with the callsign and a status badge. A green Active badge means the license is current. A red badge means it has expired or is no longer active. In addition, ACURA members get a gold ACURA Member badge, so you can spot fellow club members at a glance.

Below the name you will find the license class, location, Maidenhead grid square and expiration date. The grid square is handy for VHF contests, satellite work and logging. Finally, quick links take you to the same callsign on QRZ.com, APRS.fi and PSK Reporter.

Where the Data Comes From

The lookup uses HamDB.org, a free service built on the public FCC license database for U.S. calls and ISED records for Canadian calls. As a result, a brand new license may take a day or two to appear. For privacy, our page shows only the city and state, never a street address.

Tips for Better Results

Enter the base callsign without portable indicators such as /P or /M. Letters can be upper or lower case. If a call is not found, double-check the spelling first. Also keep in mind that HamDB does not cover most countries outside North America, so use QRZ.com for DX stations.

Just got your own callsign? Congratulations! Look yourself up, then check in to the Thursday 7:00 pm ACURA net on any of our linked repeaters. New to the hobby? Visit our New Hams page or see the Testing Schedule to earn your license or upgrade.
