SDR Receiver

Welcome to the ACURA SDR Receiver
The ACURA SDR Receiver below is a fully functioning software-defined HF receiver that tunes from 0-30 MHz, covering the full AM broadcast band as well as the 160 through 10 meter amateur radio bands, giving you the ability to explore the entire HF spectrum — from local and distant AM stations up through the ham bands — and listen to stations from near and far. The receiver’s antennas are located in the Pocono Mountains, in Pennsylvania. Which gives it excellent reach up and down the East Coast. This is a fully interactive receiver, not a static display — every button, control, and tuning dial is fully functional. Tune frequencies by turning the main dial, using the +/- tuning buttons, or clicking directly on the frequency display and typing in the exact frequency you want for instant, precise tuning — including down into the AM band to catch familiar broadcast stations. Change modes, adjust receiver settings, and explore the HF bands just as you would with a traditional radio.
As you tune across the bands, watch for the station tag badge that appears beneath the frequency display — it automatically identifies well-known stations and nets, including WWV/WWVH time signals, ham radio nets like the Hurricane Watch Net and ECARS, and AM broadcast stations, whenever you land on one of their frequencies.
In place of a traditional waterfall display, the SDR features a LIVE video feed of the Atlantic City Boardwalk, bringing a real-time view of the local area into the receiver experience while you listen to the airwaves. Whether you’re monitoring amateur radio activity, tuning through AM broadcast stations, exploring different bands, or enjoying the view of Atlantic City, the ACURA SDR puts an interactive HF radio experience right at your fingertips.
Know of a major net or AM broadcast station that isn’t tagged yet? Email the ACURA webmaster at [email protected] with the band, frequency, and the name of the net or station, and we’ll get it added.
ACURA SDR - HF Nets Frequency Tags
The ACURA SDR receiver automatically tags 159 popular HF amateur radio nets — regular on-air gatherings for traffic handling, emergency communications, rag chewing, and special-interest groups from across the country and beyond. Tune near one of these frequencies and the tag will pop up on its own beneath the frequency display; the list below is here so you can browse the lineup and find a net worth checking in on.
